a real grey day till noon not a break or difference any where in the sky. Worked a little in the house. Lunched worked a little more & went for a walk Hall Bement & I and then for a swim.

Then I went out and had a whack at the late one & back to me late dinner.

Went over & had a high ball yes? & got my turpentine from Sarzean. Back to the rooms and here we are.

I haven't written much of this place but its fine more than fine, the paintable things are unlimited and the people are fine. Though I dont care much for the [[underlined]] Aumonies [[/underlined]] Rubber neck isn't enough for him. Regular old woman.

Got a letter from Jack today Says the canoe crew has taken sixty eight prizes this year & done up every thing in the U.S. that they've met. Good work. Leave here in a week I think.

Didn't rain looked as if it might all morning. Fooled around our rooms & after lunch we all went as escort to the house over to St Jacques. Went over inland and walked home by the sea. Could see the Chateau de Suscinio from Port of St Jacques.

Went out and worked a while on Brittainy in the dusk.

After dinner we all got foolish in the Salon
