Worked on the street & doorway once more & after lunch on the courtyard. Where lives the man with wheels him who says that I am a bold bad man, all artists are and that his wife can not sit on in the courtyard and be painted. Hurrah! Yes?

About six we went over to the castle and worked on the "Gorge" till sunset & spent the evening in looking at our masterpieces.

Worked on the St & doorway for last time.

Looked for some of the people from Madrid but they failed to show up so we went rubbering & picked up a few Toledo curios for the folks at home & got a couple of drinks for ourselves.

After dinner we worked on the Gorge and sat & watched the moon rise behind the castle. Dinner. Full Moon so we went out for a walk & over to the castle. It was magnificent, the gorge in the moonlight and the stunning old sky that hung over it was the finest moonlight thing Ive ever seen. Off the other way a long stretch of country part of the city, slopes of red hills melting into the sky and the quiet river reflecting the trees & sky made an exquisitely peaceful landscape in contrast to the ruggedness & power down the river. Across lay the city [[strikethrough]] pull [[/strikethrough]] pileing up & up its towers breaking the sky & its twinkling lights.
