Worked today on the copy. Back to Hotel at 4.30 wrote a letter ate dinner and went to the theater "Circus Cane". Variety show. Saw Howard Thursten "The great American Card King" and he is slicker than butter. The American Biograph and lots of other American things which cheered me up a whole lot. Now into the bed which is the smallest Ive slept in since I was out of long clothes. Its so narrow you cant fall out your out all the time. See?
Dey was some English guys at the theatre English as our cousins speak it is the worst stuff Ive heard so far. Its all Ballyskittles Don'cher Know. Beastly? Well raather.

worked on the copy today till three Looked around gallery till four. Bought a tube of raw sienna and came home to dinner after which I had me hair cropped and took a walk. wrote to Mr Lewis Morris Iddings Charges d'Affairs Rome for permission to study in the Italian galleries free.
