Paris Jan 1st 1902. Left Boston Oct 8th

Great trip across the ocean fine weather nice people & a good boat. Met the Haskells & Miss Noyes, Murrays (Sheila) & Dr. Mansfield. Liverpool docks very handsome in the early morning. London Oct 16th 1901 about noon. Got a boarding place on Gordon St 25, later on took meals at no. 10 along with Mansfield and Dr. Griffiths. Latter is to be blamed for all this and what goes before and after. Diary
Mr. Norton is "alright" at his house I recieved kindest hospitality. As much a Yankee as when he left Boston twenty five years ago he says.
  Aunt R. is a jewell.
Had a diary when I was a kid & it stops the day I got my first bicycle. Wonder what sort of a wheel will stop this one.
