In a beatific frame of mind about streets stores and sights. Came back by the Vijver. Wonderful tonal reflections. Color as seen only in first-love-Holland. Met the nice Olcotts, Miss Mygatt and friend. Saw Schüller's gallery - a treat. Came back to Café Central. Went with Miss McEwen for brodies [[?]] Swell suppper. Nice people. As we started it was found Miss Kelly and Miss Northrop were missing. I was the one to go back for them

Did not get to station most directly , then just in time for train, found that three were left. Hoek again, tended to luggage and got aboard in rain. Girls came later; they were welcome. Had no tickets only 10[[cents symbol]] (D.) Settled in cabin with Townsley; Scovill and Webster later.

Made Harwich early. Came up through English landscape - gardens flowers, pretty houses, level roads, lots of green, trees black against fine sky, lots of clouds. Reached London quarter to nine. Confusion about baggage. Got trunks onto busses. Ride across London. Ads. Very hungry. Got people stowed in four houses on Islenloch and Glenmore roads & Staverstock Hill. Took baggage off with James' help. The Jacquests. Breakfast. Met Sheeler
