(Antelope-West) This is one of the first plants collected after Krakatao erupted in 1883 and, it was thought, destroyed all plant life in the area. Boerlage and several others tried to get to the summit of the volcano, but couldn't navigate through the ash. They removed to Lang Eiland where they collected plants in September, 1896.
