all warn me the onças will get me if I don't watch out. The things they tell about animals are very funny. The anteater clasps a man to its breast and tears him to pieces with its long claws. The little fox I saw attacks people, and onças are numerous and lying in wait for wandering senhoras. And yet I am awfully afraid of things of which they have no fears. I
