We had stopped en route and loaded onto the movie men's truck - a movie machine we took from an disused hut at [[Zonafques?]]
We went on to [[F'omges?]] where our American H.Q is for the moment
- Here we left the machine -
A good minstrel show had been given here in the tent - a [[underlined]] routed [[/underlined]] one
Went next to St. Pol and to a nearby place where there are American troops FREVENT - Here we met some Canadian Y. men - made a deal with them to swap films with them. and otherwise get together on the entertainment proposition - they are like us. - and easy to do business with.
We stayed and had supper with them in their mess tent - very pleasant group of men.
The movie men stayed on - while the Dr. and I went along to Abbeville - and after reporting at H.Q. went out [[insertion]] to [[/insertion]] the Chateau - a delightful place - about 5 miles out of town - Here we slept - unbombed -
Abbeville had caught a dose on Thursday night. which seems to have been a particularly bad night for the whole region
I slept well in the "Little Chateau"
August 4.
Came in to Abbeville this morning and the "movie men" arrived later from Frevent - About 12 with them I left Abbeville bound for Paris. via Amiens.
