Wednesday Dec 26th  Day opens with light South wind (our same old friend who hates to leave us)  We haul through the bridge at 8 am. & moor just below the Dongola.  The Baron & his Secty make us a call before we are hardly moored & invite us to a walk & to go aboard his boat.  
She is a fine one and very comfortable but would not be large enough for us.

Thursday Dec. 27   Day opens quiet.  The Baron took a tug this am at 6- & left. We priced a tug to Luxor 15£ and 10£ to Kaunea and we told them to go to - -  The wind at night face was Westerly and we had hopes but it did not fill the bill so Joe takes the train at 8.50 for Luxor and we remain to wait for service.

Friday Dec 28  Day opens light wind S.E. - at 8 o'clk men took rope & tracked until about 10.30 - Our old friend Alobi passed us in a tug. He is Captain now and
