This pond has practically all its circumference lined with pond lilies. The border is a coarse sandy material.

Enallagma minusculum were abundant all over -- even in the grasses of the margin. E. pictum was very common -- but only over water on lily pads. They never flew very long. Lestes vigilax was extremely common in the border grasses.
