Today seems to have been the height of the mating spree of [[underline]] Celithemis Martha [[/underline]] - the pond was covered with mating pairs, the male remaining attached to the female as she laid her eggs. As a contrast, male [[underline]] Libellula auripennis [[/underline]] seem to guard pugnaciously their ovipositing females. Unwatched female [[underline]] Anax junius [[/underline]] and Aeshna clepsydra oviposited.
