A finished "Houses" - in pastel, & worked on "Sea Guls,"  I experimenting.  Letter from Mother - 

Wea.     THURSDAY 17     Ther.
Cleaned up boat, Taphouse over early in P.M. with word McCoys would be here.  A to Huntington, I to Paulstons to provision up.  McCoys here about 6 P.M.  Showed A's paintings which they were crazy about, dinner & the eve. spent drinking etc.

Rain - A took Sam to P.O. in A.M.  Sam to N.Y. early in P.M.  Neely staying.

Wea.     SATURDAY 19     Ther.
Rain, hail & snow, Neely & I inside all day.  Sam telephoned he would be out Sunday but appeared at 6.30 - In afternoon A changed "head" in Rhapsody in Blue.  Wind blowing hard by night banging boat against dock.
