Wea. SUN. FEB. 20, 1927 Ther. 

Highest tide in 50 years. [[underlined]] Pumped out. [[/underlined]] Boat way above dock, & [[underlined]] dock [[/underlined]] under 6 inches or so of water. A put entire line out. Had dinner early, & lent our boats to S. & N. & Lawrence brought them back. They left at 1.40 P.M. Most exciting day. Later A & S planned changes in boat & a knocked front of my house off. To bed early very tired.

Wea. MONDAY 21 Ther.

Cold & snow. Read of terrible storm, loss of 8 Coast Guards, & much damage. A put front of my house back again. Cleared up boat, had dinner & back to Huntington. Took & got laundry & food. Counted up have 416.72 & whats owing. 
Sent check to Bill & payment on note to Westport bank. Wrote to Mother.

Water up to carpet. Pumped out, rather tired from all that & just did odds & ends - pressed trousers etc in P.M.
