Still in bed.  A called Dorothy up & she ^[[was]] not well enough to come today.  A working on Scribners drawings.  {A story came from [[underlined]] Pictorial Review [[/underlined]].  Wanted in a month [[end bracket]]  A to Huntington came back with Huckleberry Finn  Emily Dickinson's poems ^[[magazines]] & Chinese Sayings & read some of all. 

Wea.     SATURDAY 25     Ther.
Still in bed, Read Huckleberry Finn - some aloud to A - he working on story.  In the evening Ruth & brother here with lovely tea roses.

Up & feeling much better - swept up boat & read.  Chub & Eleanor here in afternoon after thunder storm.

Wea.     MONDAY 27     Ther.
Lying down most of day, posed a little - A drawing.  A custard with roses in paper on top from the Johnny Georges.
