A to N.Y. on 7.18 taking paintings. Steiglitz said he was delighted about Arthur that "Now he was prepared." Said he thought my things too frail for the room- got to box a "smash", not good for me to show with Arthur. Didn't think pitcher would hold, or like frames on litter.
A brought me Sherwood Andersons "A New Testament." (I spent day on moth hunt.)

I feeling rather sunk over my work, to Huntington late in P.M. Mr Main drove me down + I said we wanted house on Tues. + A to Bunces they'll head on out Tues. Pumping out every day now - water nearly up to floor.

Wea. SUN. NOV. 13, 1927 Ther.

Up late for us. Club, Eleanor & Caroline stopped for talk - wouldn't come in - Eddys came & a Miss Scott - very nice. They took us up for chop suet. Back to boat & had ice cream for Richard. They left about 6, we're to go to stay over someday with them next weekend. A wrote note to Mains & left it on door.

Wea. MONDAY 14 Ther.

A fished caught 50 smelts. Telephoned slightly about Mis Woolworth, telephoned Eddys-Clyde going to Grand Canyon Tues. Maynes have room, I packing boxes all day.
