APRIL, 1925 SUN. 12 [[pre-printed]]Easter [[/printed]] A scraped, puttied & painted deck. I cooked most of morning, roast chicken, potatoes, ^[[asparagus,]]^ celery A bought dink, we brought it out & sat in sun. [[hand drawn line beneath entry]] MON. 13 Up at 7 but too windy to go fishing. I washed clothes, hair, watered & picked pansies. TUES. 14 Painted pansies. no good. WED. 15 Painted from garbage pail. no good. Marketed watered pansies. THUR. 16 Started to work when Edie came & stayed till afternoon. Engine wouldn't start - FRI. 17 Painted. Willow tree against red bldg. Windy afternoon - postals from Mary. SAT. 18 A & I to Huntington A.M. shopping. Painted in P.M. No drinks. Big rum runner unloaded at midnight here [[end page]] [[start page]] APRIL, 1925 SUN. 19 Lazy day. No drinks. Big wind & rain storm - MON. 20 Washed clothes. Watered pansies. Ironed. TUES. 21 Felt rotten - lay down most of day. WED. 22 Still feeling bum. Tony here in P.M. Jimmy McGowan later. Wrot to Chub & mailed book. THUR. 23 Bought tin boat in A.M. Tried out Mona in P.M. Engine died, went aground first time. Got at 8.P.M. & back to mooring. Cleaned boat. Still very prohibition[[??]]. FRI. 24 To Huntington P.M. SAT. 25 Felt much better Scrubbed paint. Tried out boat with mechanic, not right yet. Couple of drinks.
