AUGUST, 1925 ^[[Sat. 22  Letters from Dottie & Chub]]
SUN. 16  Papers.  I painted on block a[nd?]] A worked.   A wrote to Howard, sent check to Schneider  interest to W.  Bank.  Taphouses here in eve.

MON. 17  Washed.  Out beyond lighthouse in P.M.  sent rug to Chub.
TUES. 18  A. to Huntington  I to Edwards provisioning for trip to Port Jefferson.  Took many things to ^[[by 3.45]] his boat.  To White Star grand beach.
WED. 19  A up at 5, me 6.  A swim.  Everything ready, but heaps of fog here.  Off at 8.40.  Passed black buoy 9. A.M.  Passed P.J.L.H. 12.10  Tide & wind against us.  400 R.P.M. 1 P.M. anchored

THUR. 20  Both for a walk through town.  dinner, put "chain" anchor down.  Painted white house.

SAT. 22  Up early.  Every thing tied & put away.  Out into it at 10.  N. wind - big sea - [[underlined]] too big [[/underlined]]  Back in Harbor, dinner out again.  Mizzen rope recapped

SUN. 23  A cleaned salses, I boat.  With Mr Taphouse to Lloyds to see Chinese Junk - it had gone

MON. 24  Wrote Dottie & Chub  Did large wash & ironed  A to Huntington
TUES. 25  Finished ironing.  Cleaned stoves & such.  Captain Sammis in with a jib & Spark Plug  Washed hair.  Both to Edwards for vegs.  Told Cap Eaton don't want glass house

WED. 26  Scrubbed paint inside - whole cabin  A put chain on bow - bob stay.  J. here
THUR. 27  Painted twice on white house  after dinner & talk with A. did it again - much better.  Wrote to Mother.
FRI. 28  Painted "a nice day."  A had letters from Stieglitz & Bill.
SAT. 29  To Huntington, A to Edwards  Pete here.  Painted in P.M.
