SAT. 5  Both to Huntington - Back & Huntleys stopped by [[?]]  Dried out bedding.  Dixons here.

MON. 7 Labor Day (U.S.)  Hard rain - did chores inside  changed stove - 
TUES. 8 Washed.  A. to H. mailed letters to V. W. Brooks & Mr G.  Dixons to lunch.  A put stove pipe in.
WED. 9  Both went scalloping  Gave Tony some.  T. took us to Edwards.  Ironed.  Cap. Bill in - 
THUR. 10  Mended.  A sent Bill 3.95 & wrote 2 letters to his mother  I to Huntington.  Mr Gardner & V. Wyck in P.M.  Washed hair.  
FRI.  11  Dixons here.  I worked on H. but not good.
SAT. 12  Letter from Van Wyck Brooks  I to Huntington - walked back.  A to Edwards - cleaned.
