SEPT., 1925, OCT.
SUN. 27  Mother & Blacks to dinner & for trip down to inlet.
MON. 28  Tired - not much done.  A. to Huntington.  I mailed "Dark Laughter to Clive for birthday 
TUES. 29  Washed, ironed, washed hair.  A drawing, in P.M. he out for painting, I to Huntington.
WED. 30  To N. York.  Met Mother & Chub.  Tel. Miss Oswald.  Shopping  dinner dress for Mother, Found it at 5.30.  To Lynbrook for the night, a hot bath in tub!
THUR. 1 OCTOBER  Helped M. with blue dress.  Back to A. & boat at 6.30.  Found fine small painting of waterfalls by A.
FRI. 2  Head ache & start of cold.  Lay down most of day.
^[[I to [[?]] ]] SAT. 3  Cleaned boat, A to Huntington.  Took Miss [[Phylrook?]] & J. fishing - McCoys on dock. when we came in.  Stayed till ten.  Glad to see Neely.

OCTOBER, 1925
SUN. 4  Cold worse, A telephoned family not to come.  A. wrote Mr [[?]] of Am. B.
MON. 5  Worse, a temp of 100, A sent for Dr Toreley.  Better by night.  In bed all day.  
TUES. 6  Up but rather all in.  A working on wood & plaster - (A. sent letter  Wrote Ma & Chub)  to Mrs Eddy
WED. 7  Better - Toiled out of order, A. working on & in it.  Wrot McCoys not to come this Sat.
THUR. 8 Better & working on suit, finished coat.  Wrote Mother.  Letter from A's Mother.  toilet.  Letter from Am. Boy.  More toilet [[hand drawn line to insertion]] Still  Finished toilet -  Sewed.  Big blow all night - 
SAT. 10  75 mile gale, coldest OCT. on record.  Jimmie here all day, he and A. rescued Dr Wilkes boat!  High seas.  10 boats ^[[went]] ashore.  Over at 2 A.M.
