Up early & to N.Y. on 9.58  no cars  taxi to station.  A to village to market.  To Macys & got advertising book, met Mother in street - to Morrettis - found padlock on door!  To Vanity Fair tea room for lunch, then to see "The Master Builder", with Eva Le Gallion - didn't like her.  no spirit  Back on 5.05.  A had everything ready & bottle of rye, he says "young for its age  A wrote Peggy & Florence

Both bummed all day, naps in P.M.

MONDAY - 8
Washed.
Finished clothes inside, ironed.

TUESDAY - 9
A to N.Y. on 8.09.  I cleaned, to Huntington, Irene in.  [[underlined]] Snow [[/underlined]] started at 3 P.M.  A found 13 paintings sold.  Steiglitz said "no idea of the interest & kind people."  A to "Pictorial Review" in month & so would be getting new stuff.  Steinmetz new Art editor.  To "Life" & got circus joke.  To McFaden mags. ^[[saw]] Mr Rapp said he'd send mags. & have work.  A to McLowry's lunch, saw Lila, Nancy Fay, Neely, Carys.  At 7.30 voices outside; Dorothy, Carys!  Soon [[?]] & Neely from Tonys, all to dinner, left 11.30 for N.Y.

Snowing steadily.  Neely had hysterical "spell"  we put her to bed - quite a day!
