FEBRUARY
MONDAY - 22
A working on "interview" & Elks lay out.  Neely called up at 8 A.M.  to see if we were going in, was going to drive out for us.  John started caulking around 11.30.  I for mail - errands etc.  Worked on sketch for painting P.M.  John worked till nearly 5.

TUESDAY - 23
 [[underlined]] Snow - [[/underlined]]
A to N.Y. at 6.57.  Got engine part for J.  saw Casey, Hilder & Sam - they may come Sun.  To Stieglitz - good talk.  [[underlined]] Interview [[/underlined]] in fine spirit - World man nice.  Got 4.29 back.  Capt. Darling for his book & talked for an hr.  John here 12.15 - to work at 12.45.  Stopped 5.30.  Doris & Gertrude in.  I to Huntington to market, nothing done but "chores"  snow shoveling, coal, lamp brushing things to John etc.  A said; "Every time you're extra nice to Kim you're false to yourself."

WEDNESDAY - 24
Not up till 11 - very weepy state of mind.  All fixed up by 12!  John caulking from 12.45 to 5.45.  Paid him [[underlined]] 20.00 [[/underlined]].  Letter from Mother.  I painted in P.M. & like it - thing of forms & color "seen."

THURSDAY - 25  [[circled]] S [[/circled]]
Rain.  Letter from Seligman telling A to ask for Lilias McLane at Walter Thompsons.  A to see Billy Atkins.  Both "house cleaning boat.  I inside - A cock pit.  In PM. I wrote to Bill, Chub, Mother.
