FRIDAY-23
I to N.Y. on 8.09.  Took drawing to Elks magazine, went to Neelys.  Had coffee & toast & Neely & I to look for suit.  got good one at Lord & Taylors for $39.50.  Neely & I to Keens for lunch, then to Gimbles for hats, she got 2 I none.  By taxi to Neelys - Gus & Lucian there - Dorothy called up - I had hot bath & shower - all to Dorothys - Clive came - all awful - Neely & Sam drove me out - boat 11 P.M.  A out to meet us - grand.  A scraped booms.

SATURDAY-24
Beached boat - Jimmie worked 1 to 4.30  Marion 2.30 to 4.30.  I cleaned 1 side of bilge & started to read "Lord Jim"  [[underlined]] Strands [[/underlined]] called up  want to come this Sunday but coming 2 weeks from today  Called Tony up - 1 gal in eve.  Tony fell over board.

Chub & Douglas here in P.M.  Marion & wife down, all to Marions to see Douglas' dinghy - over to see Jimmie & Irene in eve.

I to Huntington to market.  Washed.
