JULY
THURSDAY-8
Did big wash.  A off clamming at 6.  Cleaned boat.  A working on S. story.  Both down to gap, A fishing, I collecting stones & shells on beach.  Quite breezy.

FRIDAY-9
Foghorn going outside.  Mended & did odd jobs.  Out in boat.  Young Van Wyck in in evening.  Started painting of shells.

SATURDAY-10
Up with Mona to Halesite by 9 A.M.  Very hot - 93 - I to Huntington for food etc.  Deposited Life check & 2 from McClures.  A got water, gas ice etc.  Back to lower mooring, had swim & lunch.  Painted, windy & thunder storm.

SUNDAY-11
Chub & Douglas over in tin boat they bought from Charlie Lighthouse.  A worked some on Scribner's story.  Out in Lloyds for an hour in Mona.
