JULY WEDNESDAY-28 All in swimming but me. A & S for sand worms & fishing. Neely & I fished up boat, then out to spot for King fish, no king fish, one Lafayette & 2 flounders. Had them & fried clams for dinner. Then out to gravel pit & back to Halesite. A to S over to join Yacht Club. Got my 1.00 books & A $50.00 from his mother for a birthday present. Had supper & McCoys left at 8.30 for ferry back. A nice time we thought. THURSDAY-29 Rain. Pumped out. Did chores on boat. [[end page]] [[start page]] JULY FRIDAY-30 Davidson here at 10.30, looks very well. At dinner a telephone from McClures wants drawings Sat. A & D. out in P.M. to make sketches of truck & boat. Davidson stayed to supper & off at 7.30 missed Ferry & Archie took him up. A nice day but scattered. A working in evening on boats, upset at rush. Got one done & to bed. SATURDAY-31 I posed for men in "truck" drawing & A got both done & mailed in 4 O.Clock mail. I - headache - lay down & late to Huntington. Got records, one [[underlined]] "Rhapsody in Blue" [[/underlined]] w/Gershwin & [[underlined]] 4 jazz [[/underlined]] & marketed. A & I to carnival after supper, blew in 5.00 or so & to our great surprise no. 19 won us a lavender sateen quilt. A said he'd planned to get one!
