Chub & Douglas here with flowers, & later for a while in P.M. "Sand Worm" constable stopped Jim & said he could not run out board on account of no "under water exhaust.
We making drawings.

Wea. MONDAY 2 Ther.
Both to Huntington by "out board," Had fight with Otto. A called up Billy A. he said they couldn't do anything & wanted A to write article for next issue of Fore & Aft. I to Yacht Club got summer clothes etc. Loaded up mini ice etc. & back to Puppy's Hole. A dictated article to me in eve.
I painted in P.M. Abstraction in Mars violet & lt. yellow. done from puddles of water in road.

Wea. TUES. JULY 3, 1928 Ther.
A up at 5.30 & rewrote article, then typed it and Jim took him to [[strikethrough]] Huntington [[/strikethrough]] Halesite in his dink, & A took article to Billy. A. who thought it was fine. Letter from Dorothy McClure saying they were coming over for out board. I cleaned boat thoroughly.
A did small pastel in light red, ochre greens & yellow. I finished "Pools."

Wea. WEDNESDAY 4 Ther.
I, indigestion. A putting more cement on decks. Blacks here in morning, & in afternoon, I feeling better. We put life preserver on Caroline & "swam" her on end of rope, she was quite fun.
