A to N.Y. took Life drawing.  A also to Pic. R. Federal Ad Agency, called up Holder, left sketches of jokes with N. Yorker, telephoned "my" Agency ^[[insert]] Bedlar, Ruper, Smith [[/end insert]], man said he couldn't do anything till after Labor day.  Tel. Dower - he said "Come toward fall".  To Liberty - man on vacation.  Tel. J. Walter Thompson - Miss McLane had left.  I washed, cleaned, to H.  Got Chub birthday p.  A home on 12.57.  Blacks here,told of Mother [[?]]. 

Wea. WEDNESDAY 15 Ther.
A to Huntington, did a lot of shopping & marketing. Down the harbor. I did a wash - A made drawing of sun & trees.
Blacks stopped, going to Westport Thursday.

Wea. THUR. AUG. 16, 1928 Ther.
A down to inlet, caught bass, blackfish. Got up and had hysterics - from medicine we think.
Both in swimming 3 times.
[[Fussed?]] over [[Climese?]] blue dress.

Letters from A's mother, Bill, Miller, & Holly saying they've bought a house in Monterey & will be in N.Y. Aug. 20.
