Wea. WED. AUG. 22, 1928 Ther. This is Tuesday's happening really. Washed hair - did a few chores, both rather tired after yesterday's trip. Wea. THURSDAY 23 Ther. Still raining hard. No chance of boat drying out. Did a lot of clearing out of bunks, etc. In P.M. I walked part way to Huntington, and all the way back. In the eve. A. wrote to Bill, the Davidsons, his mother and Stieglitz. [[end page]] [[start page]] Wea. FRI. AUG. 24, 1928 Ther. Still clearing. A to Huntington - mailed letters. I did wash In afternoon Arthur painted bottom of boat in about 2 hrs. Ernest fixed a loose block in dead wood, & John did some caulking. We were put off at 6, John & Bruce went [[scribble]] down to Yacht Club & towed a sail boat back for Bruce. Wea. SATURDAY 25 Ther. A got check for 1.09 his mother. He to Huntington in morning. I cleaned up & started another paper cutout thing. A letter from Mother about young Mary.
