A finished drawings. Both me Mr. Pratt to Stamford & then to Coolot to look at house boat, a lot of house for perhaps 700. Back in P.M. A matted drawings. 

Wea. SATURDAY 6 Ther.

A to N.Y. left here at 7, a man picked him up & drove him to Scarsdale, I worked on ice chest all morning, scrubbing & boiling it. Fixed guest room & cleaned rest of house. A out early in P.M. Took trolley & walked up last. Got more things off boat. First short story killed (one was bit over) but editor gave him another.

Wea. SUN. OCT. 7, 1928 Ther.

Bothed loafed. Called up McCoys, & they here to dinner in eve, then all took Sam to station. Stamford & Neely came back & spent night.

Wea. MONDAY 8 Ther.

A working Neely drove us to Stamford. mar lasted. Back & had dinner, I read Collier short short story. Neely went home at 4. P.M. A got story [[strikethrough]] lasted [[/strikethrough]] in. Nice letter to use both from A's mother.
