Forbes called up & came in P.M. bringing fur coat, stayed to chicken & waffle dinner & offered us Ford for winter. Mr. Frank Pratt in for a call. We awfully tired. Wea. THURSDAY 15 Ther. Up late, [[?]] up rooms & Elsie & Dorothy Thompson here, A to meet them in fur coat & derby. Earnest here soon in Ford which they left. I to bed till afternoon. - head ache. Leo West & Mrs. Seymour here will they never stop! [[end page]] [[start page]] Wea. (S) FRI. NOV. 16, 1928 Ther. Up early & A to N.Y. at 8.10. Mr. Carstophen called up to tell him no word yet. A to Elks got drawings & showed to Colliers, back & lunch with Hilder & Bruce McClure. Got awning to cover cock pit, got L back late in P.M. I washed, also hair, cleaned. Mrs. Seymour here. A brought brioche & cakes. Wea. SATURDAY 17 Ther. I in bed till late in P.M. Read & mended. A worked on boat & helped clear out garage for "his" car.
