FEBRUARY 9 Saturday
I up early.
Arthur's temperature below normal in morning.
He stayed on couch all day I reading to him.
I to Stamford in morning with Mr Pratt.
Nerly called up.
In after noon temp up to 101.
A letter from Arthur's mother about Bill, sick. I called up Frank Mc Laury to ask if he'd seen him, he had not. I told him about Arthur & he told me what medicine to get, telephoned to drug store & had it sent out. Jack Hilder called up & I put of Tuesday's dinner.
Arthur's temp down to 99 2/10 in evening.

Sunday FEBRUARY 10
Arthur's temp. normal. Frank Mc Laury called up, said he'd been worrying about Arthur and would come out on 2 o'clock train.
Got taxi to meet him.
He brought Arthur little flask of whisky & me box of fruit, we had a very nice time with him. He went on 9 o'clock train. Neely called up they'd be down if they could make it, but didn't come.
