APRIL 25 Thursday.
A. to Noroton, I straightened up boat a bit. Then both to house - I did this & that [[insertion]] swept [[/insertion]] A took down stove. I called up Neely who today has 8 cats - 7 new kittens. Back for dinner on boat.
Out to mooring / having been tied at dock). Wind & rain.
All afternoon reducing chaos - finding permanent places for things, chucking out.
Agreed that moving is a great clearing house and & upsetter of the stagnation of inanimate objects.
A letter from A's Mother all delighted with New Yorker article.

Friday. APRIL 26
Arthur up to house very early, got 2 floors oiled & bath room walls scrubbed.
I up & got closets in kitchen & ice chest scrubbed, all the dishes washed & put back in dining r. closet. After dinner both to Stamford for things needed.
