SEPTEMBER 20 Friday
I to Dr. Willis had teeth cleaned, he couldn't find any thing on right side of jaw to bother me.
Called up Hank & Holly & asked them to dinner - they [[scribble]] accepted.
Bought a roasting chicken & chocolate eclairs. Home by taxi.  Swept place.
Arthur down fishing with Hank for afternoon.
Holly and I had an amusing time, she being in a less "obsessed" mood than day before.
Had dinner at 6, & they here till 9.30.
A very gay time, one of the nicest we've had together I thought.

Saturday. SEPTEMBER 21
I started Reminiscences, really called I just find Dostoevsky Portrayed by his wife.
Got very much absorbed in it, we read excerps from The Devils together after lunch, and saw where Nietche had gotten much.  Arthur working on the idea of each thing having its' own condition of light.
He went to Huntington in P.M.  I to P.O. for eve. mail and got a letter from Liberty saying Mr. Alestaire wanted Arthur to come in with his proofs.  The letter was dated Sept. 19, had been sent to Pratt Islands.
We were pretty flabergasted.
