Monday.
Arthur to Huntington early, back & took one me out to see dog wood forest.  I snatched a small branch from car, & started a painting there of.
Arthur working on a frame.
A letter from Seligman in eve. mail wanting to bring fishing party down this week end.
Went out & found boat a float - both pushed her off, then started engine & ran her down to mooring.  Water spurting out main bearing, looks serious.
I rowed back & got supper. Jim down helped A. put on mooring line, Jim & Irene here in evening.

Tuesday -
A lovely letter from Elizabeth about box & sketch of "Derrick".
Nice funny letter from Bill too.
Arthur working on boat.
I painting on "Dog Wood."  In after noon Holly, looking really tragic, here saying she was leaving - went out to car where Miss Watt, Linnell & Little Hankie all looked shot.
I finished dog wood by evening. Arthur found engine working all right, just running it at mooring.
Arthur did a swell study of dog wood trees.
