I can only hope that it will not be widely read in England or translated.
Old fashioned novelists may seem for now over sentimental as though they had more time - than is given to ordinary mortals for meditating in beautiful surroundings but surely that is preferable to persons like Hemingway & Tennessee Williams whose meditations, if any, seem to take place in slums & latrines.
