Tuesday    APRIL 29
I did wash. Arthur worked on Elks drwgs.  In P.M. I lying down - still head ache, knock on door Arthur went down & there was Bill with his other beautiful 5 yr. old painting under his arm.  Brought camera work, bottle of wine, & baggage.  A swell surprise. Bill drove Arthur up town.  Dinner, talk & to bed.  In evening mail check from Mrs. Leibman for $400.

Wednesday - APRIL 30
Bill to doctor Beck [[strikethrough]] at [[/strikethrough]] on 8.11.  Did some arranging for Bill's things.  Arthur worked on drawing all day.  Both out to boat.  Both to Huntington bought shoes, canvas for A. leather for me. Bill out on 3.04. He & Arthur to H. for Bill's watch not - done.
[[strikethrough]] In evening mail [[/strikethrough]] Holly called up late in afternoon - all sorts of trouble. In eve. she called Arthur wanting him to go to town hall - Hank in an accident. Arthur & Bill went up - not H - gone - Man threw clothes in slip in terrible hurry, Arthur called up police - they looked things over - no identification.  Much amusing talk about latter. Finally to bed.
