Arthur painted on Acid green Tree.
I finished sewing machine work on black satin dress. In afternoon Pete and a funny jolly boy named Herb came.
In the evening, the Count popped in asking us over to his boat for some Port some ladies in a Rolls Royce had brought him. We did - very good. He told us more of his painting selling technique, saying - "That's America." It is.

Monday - SEPTEMBER 29
Arthur painted on Acid green Tree (Jane's Hill). Did over right side and said it was like his earlier pastels.
I started a second one of Dressing table with pin cushion. Did a lovely pin cushion and the whole thing better in color. Irene borrowed sewing machine. Both over to Northport - bought fruit and vegeatables.

Arthur writing [[underlined]] on [[/underlined]] letter to Stieglitz. Arthur said this evening, "what a strange life we lead." And we do.
