Friday. OCTOBER 10
Arthur worked on silver frames.
I ironed things. Chub called. [[underlined]] Washed hair - [[/underlined]] up to see about Sunday.
After dinner both down to Cooks, got oil - gas - Arthur tried to fix brakes - no good. Took it to Ford place - say it takes 2 hours. So brakes or not, we went to Northport for vegeatables from Farm and Fireside.
When we returned Mr. [[Boone?]] came up to pay for his wine, & stayed for an hour or so.

Both painted -
Arthur on "Swinging in the Park" Had worked one other day, but got it almost all in. And a swell thing it is.
I painted on a new Pine Cone one and learned something but don't think it will ever be a "result."
Both to Huntington in afternoon. Came back, Arthur over on dock. Paul called up from N.Y. I talked, and Arthur came in. He, Paul coming down Tuesday.
Arthur telephoned Bill, but he teaches Tues. so can't come. All right for funds.
