Thursday. OCTOBER 16
A letter for Bill asking Arthur to come over next Tuesday. Arthur wrote he would on 9 o'clock ferry. Both to Huntington - ordered [[F.?]] for Bill, and film holder for Mother. Met Holly, we had ice cream in Cuttings. Back, had dinner. In P.M. Arthur to Huntington to get [[strikethrough]] larger [[/strikethrough]] wider frame for Green tree, we having decided one inch lines was not good on it.
I lay down, looked over Klee's & others in Transition & Cahier d'Art.

Arthur painted on "Green Hands"
I made over a black skirt of Ma's, pressed it and other things.
Late in afternoon both to Mr. Hirts - carpenter - to purchase a sort of cheese cutter - for cutting mitre corners. Got it - $8.00 - while waiting for Mr. H. visited a regular menagerie next door - Grand rabbits, and a nice sentimental hound.
