Friday - FEBRUARY 17 We put 2 paper things; "Shell & Feather," and "White Feather" in their frames - backed up and finished. Arthur wrote to Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Phillips. Both to Huntington in afternoon to look at Overland truck, I to movies - and unbeknownst to me - Arthur too! [[end page]] [[start page]] Saturday. FEBRUARY 18 Arthur to Huntington, paid deposit on Overland truck - Talked to people in Barter Shop - they're going to advertise boat. I varnished two frames, ironed shirts. Arthur wrote to Paul about truck & money. Both to Huntington - asked Aboff about paint for truck, decided to leave it black. I got dress for 1.00 - A nice letter from Van Wyck Brooks in evening mail - thanking us for pickles, & about the South.
