Thursday - AUGUST 31
I fixing house - Arthur & Davidson working on roof.  At 6.30 P.M. A car drove in & Bill & Spike got out instead of Miss McCausland. Finally dinner - much talk about sleeping arrangements - saved room for E. & made a pullman for D. on horse hair sofa.  Wrote to Ma in evening.

Friday - SEPTEMBER 1
Elizabeth McCausland came.  Fine.  She ran the tractor - Bill had his car fixed.  Spike napped.  Arthur, Davidson, Bill E. Dorothy Paul & I at the tractor party.  Davidson struck gold.  or maybe not.

The evening was a brawly one.
