Monday - SEPTEMBER 4  Labor day -
All laboring.
Dove & Davidson put red roofing on shop & fixed other leaks.  E. to village brought back "presents" - candy, cigarettes, drinks, & paint remover.  She then took paint off dining room & kitchen table tops & finished with oil - They look lovely - I cleaned house, got meals etc.  Mr Zebel here & looked over place with Arthur.  Walter here asking Arthur to recommend him to the Nesters.

Tuesday SEPTEMBER 5
All started work on brick back porch.  In afternoon E. Arthur and I for a swimming walk or walking swim in lake.  E invited us all to dinner at Comessos.  We accepted.  On way home Arthur got hit with a tomato - All back to grocery store from which it came.  Mr Comesso out, & Davidson said; "He went into action fast."  Two socks on 2 jaws before he inquired who did it.  Home & mopped off the damage though the results went on.  All wondering at the combustible combination we seem to be.
