Friday SEPTEMBER 22 Rain- Arthur learning to run tractor. I finished fixing Elizabeth's suit - very nice. A letter from Mother, saying she doesn't see how she can come this fall. But I hope so. Both to town-got a hunting & fishing lisence & shells. Arthur out early, got mush rooms, stopped at Mr. Weatherly's & got his father's gun. Arthur wrote to the Davidson's in evening. A letter from Lincoln Storage Co. expecting remittance Oct. 1. We now owe $100.25
