Train water color - Tuesday - NOVEMBER 21 [[hand drawn star]] Arthur out marketing. A birthday letter, with $1.00 from Chub. I overhauling house all day. Moved furniture in back living room, made cushion for little green bench - It all has more sense of space. Had argument with John about which side of stove he was to lie on - only settled by a red mat. [[hand drawn arrow from here to last sentence of entry]] Arthur got a pair of gauntlet gloves & some stretcher sticks. Arthur made a water color of train - baggage cars, just sitting here listening - very felt. [[end page]] [[start page]] NOVEMBER 22 My birthday - 48th - A letter from Mary, by way of Chub - Mary not knowing my address - of all people not to! A very sweet note from Mrs. Karll - Arthur & I to town - he to Mr O'Brien's office, met Paul, they for Mr Russo. Mr Russo to bank, back & produced $1,000 in cash! Arthur & Paul paid taxes, & it's all finished. I on a shopping tour - bought a black wool dress, tan gloves, a bottle of perfume & little velvet hat. Spent all my money, an odd day for me. Home, dinner late. I washed windows & mirrors. De Forest Weatherly here, chicken very low - Arthur mounted water color of railroad train - he loves it. So do I -
