I in bed all A.M.  Paul here.  Arthur painted on beautiful "Clothes Line & Landscape" thing.  In afternoon both wrote 35 cards & notes.  To bed early.

Friday - DECEMBER 22
Man, Mr Cole, here with Paul about takeing store for Western Union - $85.00 a month, with 2 months rent off for repairs, they to do them.  For a year at that price - He to Telegraph Co. & decide soon.  Arthur and I to Geneva - finished Xmas things - A tree for 35ยข.  Presents for the Neybels - for George - Mailed 1st lot of cards.  De Forest Weatherly here in P.M.  Did up presents - Cards this morning, from [[underlined]] Holly [[/underlined]] V.W. Brooks - Roselles.  Arthur wrote long letter to " [[ditto for: Holly]].  I wrote up diary.
