Arthur and I mixed coating for canvas: Coated them - Marion here to a broiled mackerel dinner.  Bill sold his North St. house.
Arthur got checks for Aug. & Sept. from Phillips.

I painted "Pressed Leaves" in tempera.  Arthur said "delicious" & that he can hardly help stealing color himself.  Arthur [[underlined]] mounted 61 water [[/underlined]] colors.  Bill got letter from Brooksie about Gov. job - photography - $40.00 a week & expenses. He telephoned June Cary, found young Davidson who has job to offer would be in N.Y. over weekend so Bill left for N.Y. at 3.30 P.M.

Mr Coblio, who has bought Bill's house here, gave Bill $100. to seal sale.  Bill to O Briens' office in A.M. to arrange things.
Mabel here for corn, tomatoes, etc.
