[[hand drawn arrow pointing below "Arthur"]]  Arthur finished painting - "Engine entering town.  Went to Geneva got glass.  Deposited rent checks & our 150.00 from Phillips for Jan. & Feb.  Cut glass, framed water colors.  I - chores.  Marion & Bill here in late afternoon. Marion has a bad cold.

Bill returned load of coal.

Another blizzard!
Thursday, January 23, 1936
1 above Z.  Temp. 55 below in parts of country.

Arthur framed water colors, nailed paintings into frames.  A roaring white day.  I did my small tempora of snow fields.

George here with a bright purple face, turned back first time he started.  Bill got better coal.  Bill telephoned - mad -
A visitation from Alexander & Vermilea.  Boiler has to be blown out.  new radiator in north apt.  Arthur called later both done, much warmer.  Read in Geneva Times Max Wheat & Paul Dove will stick to the ship till Spring.
