Monday, March 16, 1936 Snow. Arthur mixed paints. I washed some things & mended. Took clothes to tailors. Both to 512, found notes from Bill & Marion. found [[underline]] also [[/underline]] Mr Sheldon moving into Bill & Marion's place. Miss Watson telephoned Mrs O'Brien died at 10 A.M. She was a grand sport. Arthur out there, talked with Tommy a bit. I telephoned Mr Luigy to deliver cinders to 512 & here. [[end page]] [[start page]] Tuesday, March 17, 1936 [[image, hand drawn star]] 30-33° Snow & ice covered trees - beautiful. Floods - fields become lakes. A grey white sky, rather a wierd quality. I started painting on canvas of "Frost against dark." Good start. Arthur worked on "Calves" but rubbed it out. He wrote to Bill & Marion. Walked to North St. to see Frautys about mortgage, & get his razor- (sharpened Both walked about in P.M. & played Joe's games. A won ¢35¢.
