George here - had him white wash apt - an elegant reform.

[[hand drawn arrow pointing to start of sentence]] Arthur made 2 water colors, more or less comic corns on hill, and low heavy rice on, around Patent Cereals.  Dorothy worked in A.M.  In P.M. both to town for shampoo & treatments.

Sunday, May 24, 1936
Dorothy worked in morning.  All to dinner at Phelps Hotel.  Drove around looking at favorite houses.  To De Forest Weatherby's - he played his harp & the melodian for us.  Soon after we returned Epsie & another Mrs Morse came, Epsie presenting Arthur with a bottle of champagne.  Mosquitos terrific.

The sentence about Arthur's paintings makes no sense to me, but that seems to be what it says? tml
