I wrote to Bill - Marion.  Arthur & I measured lots.  There are 7 lots & 40 ft. from garden to Stapletons.  *22 lots and 40 ft. from Stapletons to City line.  Mr. Miller then measured with Arthur & decided he wanted 7 lots beyond Stapletons as well as the 7 this side of S.  [[arrow]] Arthur made 2 water colors, a cow with halter, and barn & leaning silo.  Mounted 7.  [[arrow]] I painted blue & red thing with cross & screwdriver.  Western Union called - came out.  Want store for 3 more years at $100.00 a year.  Arthur met Gerraty - will come Sun. *Arthur wrote letter about Randolf Bourne & to Josephy.

Tuesday, July 21, 1936 *
Arthur to town, got timetable for Mother.  Arthur worked on sketches for "Lightship".  I a cold, not much done.  Wrote to Mother about trains.  Both to Comesso's for supper.
