Telegram from Robert saying Mother could not come - not well. Called him up. Mother fell - was to be x rayed. R. called at noon - Mother has a cracked bone in spine, is to be put in plaster cast Sat. "damn fool generosity bone giver"
Arthur [[image-line drawn to above quote]] [[strikethrough]] was bitten [[/strikethrough]] pats ginee on head and was bitten in stomach. He thinks never again bone giving.  To Dr. Deuel was cauterized & had shot in arm. Paul here, air port being considered again.  Telephoned Chub. Robert telephoned again, told him I'd be there 3 Fri. Wrote Bill T. Packed.  Called Chub. Had foglight installed.
